Kids and teens

A kid and teen guide to feeling heard in UYB

You can write one honest sentence. You can pause. You can tell a safe adult if something feels unsafe.

You do not have to sound perfect.

A UYB answer can be short, messy, or quiet. Start with what you wish the other person understood.

Private does not mean hiding danger.

Your writing space is private, but danger should not stay hidden. If someone is hurt, threatened, unsafe, or scared, tell a trusted adult outside the app.

You can take time.

You do not have to answer while upset. You can come back later, write a smaller sentence, or use the private space first.

Next step

Choose a safe next step.

You can practice, write privately, or read the safety page before you share anything with another person.

These actions help with journaling and reflection. They are not therapy, crisis care, legal advice, medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency support.

Use a private journal when you are ready.

Start with one guided question. Both people write privately before the reveal opens.
